LumaFlash is a free, ad-supported flashlight utility. By installing or using it, you agree to these Terms. Please read the safety section — the App produces bright and flashing light, and it must not be relied upon as emergency or safety equipment.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use LumaFlash ("the App") on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. In particular, you agree not to:
Photosensitivity. The party strobe and SOS features produce rapidly flashing light. A small percentage of people may experience seizures, discomfort, dizziness or altered vision when exposed to flashing lights, even with no prior history of epilepsy. Stop using these features immediately if you or anyone nearby feels unwell, and consult a doctor before use if you have a photosensitive condition.
Eyes and skin. The LED is bright at close range. Do not look directly into it and do not press it against skin for long periods — the flash unit generates heat.
Not emergency equipment. The App depends on your phone's battery, LED and operating system. It is not a certified safety, signalling or emergency device, and must not be relied upon as your only light or distress signal in any situation where failure could cause harm. Always carry a dedicated light and a proper means of calling for help.
Device wear. Extended torch or strobe use drains the battery quickly and heats the device. Android may reduce brightness or switch the LED off automatically to protect the hardware; this is expected behaviour.
The App is free and supported by advertising. By using the App you acknowledge that ads will be displayed and that ad and attribution partners process limited data as described in our Privacy Policy. The App currently offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
The preferences you configure in the App — brightness, colors, strobe speed and flash-alert rules — are stored locally on your device and are removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
Available features depend on your hardware. Devices without a rear LED flash cannot use the torch, flash alerts or SOS strobe, and brightness control is only available where the device exposes it. Flash alerts additionally require you to grant notification access, and their reliability depends on your device's background-process and battery-optimization behaviour, which is outside our control.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, sounds and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed USD 10.00.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, including any use of the App contrary to the safety notice in Section 4.
This license remains in effect until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App. Upon termination you must stop using the App; sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive.
The App is distributed through Google Play. This agreement is between you and the developer only, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use of the App must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service, and your data is handled per the Google Privacy Policy. You also agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and local export-control laws in your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes may be noted in the App or Google Play release notes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
